The new system installed by Bodet at the Heathrow, Gatwick and Schiphol sites uses full palm scanners which are connected directly to HQ and provides accurate and reliable real-time attendance data for management planning and payroll.

 

YOTEL's finance director Gemma Gowers commented, "YOTEL is the only airport hotel company that sells rooms by the hour, which has helped us to achieve a 200% occupancy at Heathrow. It's therefore imperative that all our hotels are fully staffed around the clock so we can provide the first class service that our customers demand. With over 70 crew employed on different rotas, it's difficult to monitor attendance accurately, especially on nights and during peak periods."

Handscan-clocking-solihull-careSwallows Meadow Court, a residential care home with Nursing in the West Midlands employing over 120 staff, has installed an automated biometric time and attendance system which is designed not only to ensure accurate and reliable data for payroll and management planning, but to save time for all staff.

Payroll administrator Marion Vickers commented, “We provide round the clock care so we operate a 24 hour shift system, and obtaining accurate time and attendance data was always a problem with paper-based time sheets. It took us hours every month checking for errors or exaggerated claims, correlate the times with each shift and then manually enter the data for payroll. Even then we couldn’t be certain the data was accurate.”

The company decided on implementing Bodet’s biometric time and attendance system because its handscan terminals are easy to use and it is able to record reliable time and attendance information : “The staff took to the new system quickly as it was very easy for them to use,” said Samantha Hatton, HR manager of UGO Foods. “They simply place their hands on the scanner as they arrive or leave and the scanner captures the handprint which is compared against a stored profile to identify them.”
